A bold piece of mid-2000s Louis Vuitton, this Roxbury Drive captures exactly why the Monogram Vernis era has become so much fun to revisit.
Crafted in glossy embossed Monogram Vernis patent leather in a rich red, the bag is contrasted with natural Vachetta leather trim and gold-tone hardware. The elongated east-west silhouette is finished with an integrated oval cutout handle, giving it a distinctly Y2K architectural look.
Even better, it includes the removable Vachetta shoulder strap, allowing it to be carried by hand or worn on the shoulder.

Condition Report
This piece presents in very good pre-owned condition, particularly considering its 2006 production.
The red Monogram Vernis remains beautifully glossy and vibrant with the embossed monogram pattern crisp and well defined. There are light surface marks and small signs of use visible upon close inspection.
Please note: there are localized areas of finish wear/rubbing along the side gusset edges, shown clearly in the detailed photographs. A small dark mark is also visible near the side seam. These areas have been photographed closely for full disclosure.
The natural Vachetta trim has developed a warm honey patina with light variations in tone and minor signs of handling. Stitching appears generally clean and intact. Gold-tone hardware remains bright with expected light surface wear.
The removable Vachetta strap shows normal patina and use.

Curators Perspective
If you lived through the Louis Vuitton obsession of the 2000s, this bag needs almost no introduction.
This was the era when Louis Vuitton wasn't afraid of shine, color or a recognizable monogram—and Vernis was one of the most unmistakable looks of the decade.
What I especially love about the Roxbury Drive today is the silhouette. The elongated body, oversized cutout handle and glossy red Vernis feel incredibly specific to its era, yet suddenly look relevant again.
And unlike buying a current bag designed to reference Y2K, this one actually came from it.
The removable strap also makes this far more wearable than you might expect: carry it by the sculptural handle for the full archival look, or add the strap for an easy shoulder carry.
This is the kind of Louis Vuitton I believe collectors should be watching—the pieces that immediately tell you when they were made.
Not quiet. Not minimal.
