Chanel Quilted Lambskin Mini Square Flap Bag Vintage

A beautiful 1989–1991 Chanel Mini Square Classic Flap from the Karl Lagerfeld era, crafted in quilted white lambskin and finished with the highly coveted 24K gold-plated hardware. Its petite square silhouette, woven chain strap, rear slip pocket and iconic CC turn-lock capture everything collectors look for in early vintage Chanel.

White Chanel from this era is particularly difficult to find looking crisp today. This bag has been repainted to restore the white finish, an important part of its condition history that should be fully disclosed. Repainting is also seen on comparable 1989–1991 white Chanel minis in the secondary market.

Condition Report

Good vintage condition with professional repainting to the exterior leather to restore the bag's white appearance. Visible creasing and natural wrinkling to the lambskin throughout, with areas of surface wear, light marks and wear along edges and corners. Some darkening and wear are visible to the leather woven through the chain. Hardware retains a bright gold finish with light surface scratching consistent with age and use.

There is something especially collectible about the white-and-24K-gold combination from this Chanel era. The mini proportions, long 20.5" drop and rich gold hardware give this bag a distinctly vintage look that newer Chanel simply doesn't replicate.
