This is Bottega before quiet luxury became a buzzword.
Dating to approximately 2010, this oversized Aquilone-style hobo captures the relaxed, tactile luxury that defined Bottega Veneta during the Tomas Maier era. Instead of covering the entire bag in the house's signature weave, Bottega used Intrecciato as an architectural detail—running vertically down the center of the supple leather body.
But the color is what makes this one.
A saturated chartreuse/olive green gives an otherwise understated silhouette enormous personality. Add the oversized slouch, braided leather handle, dark ring hardware and incredible volume, and it becomes exactly the kind of earlier Bottega that suddenly feels very current again.

The leather remains exceptionally soft and supple with the relaxed slouch intended for this silhouette. There is visible creasing, wrinkling and natural variation throughout the leather, along with areas of surface wear and tonal variation.
The oversized braided leather handle shows visible use and tonal variation under side of handle from usage , while the Intrecciato leather remains attractive and well defined.
Dark-tone rings and hardware show normal signs of use. The brown textile interior presents with signs of previous use. Please review all photographs closely, as the soft construction naturally changes shape depending upon how the bag is carried or filled.

Curators Perspective
This is the Bottega I think people are going to wish they bought sooner.
Not because it's the newest Bottega. Because it isn't.
The Tomas Maier years produced some of the house's most interesting designs—pieces where the craftsmanship spoke louder than a logo. This bag is a perfect example. You immediately recognize the Intrecciato, but Bottega didn't need to cover every inch of the bag with it.
And then there's that color.
Against neutrals, denim, chocolate brown, black or cream, this almost acidic green becomes the entire outfit. Yet because the silhouette is so soft and unstructured, it doesn't feel overly precious.
At nearly 18 inches wide, it's also a true carry-everything luxury bag—dramatic, slouchy and meant to collapse beautifully against the body.
This isn't the Bottega everyone is carrying right now. And for me, that's exactly the point.
